Last night members of the Kent Volunteer Fire Department drilled on Firefighter CPR taught by paramedic & honorary member Mike Bruce.
When the unthinkable happens, and a firefighter collapses on an emergency scene, we need to be prepared to provide the highest level of care possible. It is vital to perform uninterrupted CPR and to get the down firefighter out of their turnout gear as quickly as possible.
Members learned how to properly remove a fellow down firefighters turnout gear & equipment while performing CPR.
