On 10/31 at about 7:44 AM the Kent Fire Department was dispatched to Dixon Road in the area of the DEP shaft 9 facility for a dump truck rollover with injuries. Upon arrival first responders found the driver was out of the vehicle with minor injuries.

The vehicle sustained a fuel leak and required the response of NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and Nyc Department of Environmental Protection hazmat units.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to Danbury hospital with non life threatening injuries. Kent Fire units cleared shortly after Noon and the scene was turned over to DEP, DEC, and enviromental contractors. We would like to thank Carmel Fire Dept. NY and Brewster EMS for the assistance.
