Thank you to everyone who attended the Kent Volunteer Fire Department Open House on Sunday April 23rd!

Everyone of all ages enjoyed meeting our volunteers, touring the firehouse, seeing all the Fire & EMS equipment, going in the trucks, learning about the department history, fire prevention, spraying a real fire hose, and doing a brick wall rescue (of course with a kids axe!)

Thank you to Red E. Fox - Putnam County,NY for being the star of the day & taking photos with the children, Ice Cream Emergency Westchester NY for turning a gloomy rainy day extra sweet for all our volunteers, attendees and the dogs with the pup cup ice cream, Happy Life Animal Rescue for bringing the adorable puppies in hopes of finding them new homes & Girl Scout troop #1080 for the cookie booth!

Nothing makes us volunteers more happy (other than helping others in the time of need) than opening our doors to the public community, helping other agencies and seeing smiles on children’s faces!
