The Kent Volunteer Fire Department serves the Kent Cliffs community in Putnam County New York by providing Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services. Our members are highly trained and always ready to serve when called. Our membership is made up of local volunteers from all different backgrounds including career firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians, business owners, tradesman and professionals.

In addition to our firefighters, we also have several NYS certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) ready to respond. Some of our EMTs carry medical equipment and portable radios in their vehicles, which allows them to respond directly to the scene and administer emergency aid before the ambulance arrives.  The department also has several members assigned to specialized county teams consisting of: Fire Investigation, Technical Rescue, Haz-mat, and Fire Police.
